Piquenique, Nic, Tess, Jupiter and the ethos of responsible production.....

This is a many layered crush on the beverages, the people and the ethos of responsible production that also tastes AMAZING!

It was with so much excitement that I first tasted Piquenique a few years back and even more so when I learned that Nic & Tess actually practice what they preach - the ethos of responsible production not only includes growing & sourcing responsibly but also paying well. Approaching fruit-based wines by sourcing organically farmed and untended orchards, organically farmed vineyards, organically farmed and dry farmed vineyards currently being planted, all on the San Juan Islands and Salish Sea region, this pair is blazing new paths and making us think twice about cider vs wine. These YUMMY treats may have fruit other than grape but hot damn! They are so good that I just stop questioning and start drinking!! And I strongly encourage you to do the same - grab a bottle of any one of the line-up! Sit down with some friends or a good book, throw away all preconceived notions about non-grape wines and find the joy in these well-crafted beverages!!

They’ve now added a third set of hands to the team with their daughter Jupiter who has been seen picking grapes as well as sampling the fruit to ensure high quality!! I guess it runs in the family!!

Come by and check out why I used so many exclamation points - you know you wanna try them ALL!!
