Calmette Viet
Calmette Viet began as a passion project. Growing up in Vietnam, we always longed for the familiar flavors of home after moving to the U.S. When we relocated to Spokane, we realized that if we wanted to enjoy authentic Vietnamese food, we’d have to make it ourselves—and share it with others. That’s how Calmette Viet was born.
We don’t come from culinary backgrounds, but we’re deeply committed to recreating the flavors we grew up with, from carefully selecting ingredients to using traditional cooking methods.
Our journey has included cooking at Feast World Kitchen, a local nonprofit that supports immigrant chefs, hosting pop-ups at breweries, operating a food truck, and even teaching cooking classes.
At the heart of it all, we’re just two Vietnamese folks hoping to share our culture through food. Because Vietnamese cuisine is so much more than just Phở and Bánh mì—and we’re excited to bring that full experience to our community.
