frankly, bob made this wine 'skinsy'

Omg! This wine is sorta blowing my mind right now!! It is everything I want on so many levels - delicious, crazy -  makes me think and opens my heart to happiness! Yes it has a lot of sediment - like A LOT of sediment - which is a turn off for some and I get it. Sometimes it’s weird to have a sip of wine that may leave something behind

But oh how this wine makes me wanna take another sip - plus a little decant or slowly pouring it into the glass and viola, very little (if any) sediment.

Ok now that we’ve discussed the sediment - let’s talk about the wine!! Bob is an actual guy who is making wine in Blackheath (a small area in New South Wales just over an hour outside Sydney). His son (Tom) is the other part of this winemaking operation.

This particular version of ‘Skinsy’ is equal parts Arneis, Riesling, Chardonnay & Sauvignon Blanc. All the grapes go into a lovely vessel to get all chummy. Juice is taken off the skins after about 3-weeks and finishes fermenting - then bottled up for our lucky palates!

No joke - this wine tastes like slightly under ripe tangerines that follows up with peaches & cream. Hints of herbs dance along the edges (think lemon thyme and that rosemary you brushed against whilst walking the dog on a rainy day). There is a richer, rounder mouthfeel from all the skin contact but the tannins here are sort of an after-thought and not the main event.

It’s fall and summer all wrapped into a glass - it’s bright & tart with hints of creaminess that makes me wanna run away to somewhere warm where I can drink it all day long and not be judged.

LOL - guess I’ll see you at the shop!!
